"When I first hired my attorney for my DUI case, I knew nothing about Nors. I was told by some friends to be represented by Robert Tayac, because he was the best. Throughout most of my case, I only dealt with Nors. I never even met Robert until my actual hearing date, when my sentence was going to be determined. Even though my blood alcohol level was barely over the legal limit, I still had the potential to be served with a DUI. When Mr. Tayac came out of the courtroom, he said I was to be charged with a DUI. This would also mean that I would lose my driver's license for 6 months. In a panic, I called Nors, who was on his way from another case. Nors assured me, "don't panic, I'm on my way". When Nors arrived to the courtroom, he then said that although he didn't know if it would work, he would try going back into the courtroom to ask for an extension and another hearing date. Mr. Tayac never even offered me that option. Well, as it turned out, Nors DID get the extension for me, and when we went back to court a month later, he got my charges reduced to a wet and reckless, which means I would not have a DUI charge on my record. In addition, Nors also fought for me at the DMV, and I never had my driver's license suspended, not even for one day. I can't begin to describe my gratitude to Nors, and the work and effort he put into my case. Nothing like this will ever happen to me again, but I would trust Nors Davidson 100% if I ever needed an attorney again. He is truly amazing."

"Nors is 100% the best DUI attorney I've had the experience working with. I received my first DUI in San Jose about 7 years ago. I was trying to flag down a cab and instead I ended up flagging down a cop instead. Rather than put me in a cab the arrested me for drunk in public. Then I was released, given the keys to my car and told to 'go home'. I tried to do exactly that and was immediately pulled over for a DUI..!!! In all honesty, my "First DUI" should have NEVER been a DUI - drunk in public "requires" the police to hold you 'until you are no longer a harm to yourself or others' - that's the law. They broke the law and told me to go home and gave me essentially a weapon. I thought I was only hungover, I could not fathom they would let me drive home drunk. I went through about $10,000 - $15,000 and 3 THREE law firms. All saying the same thing 'they can't do that, we'll get you off' They all (except the last, which chickened out at the court house and scared me into taking a plea of a wet reckless) quit returning my phone calls once they had my money. Alas, I recently had a bad experience where I had too much to drink and since the law was changed it was a SECOND offense (law was changed to 10 years in 2007). Well suffice to say I got really lucky and Nors was one of the first DUI attorneys here in SF I spoke to for this now '2nd offense DUI'. I evaluated several law firms after my utterly horrible past experiences with DUI attorneys. Ultimately I went with my 'gut' and hired Nors vs. a more expensive attorney (his prices are very reasonable). Nors was extremely professional, he calmed my nerves, he 'took the monkey off my back' (to borrow his words) so I could return to focusing on my life. Long story short, Nors "always" returned my phone calls. We met in person and went over all the details of my case, he informed me of all the ins and outs with regard to the specifics of my case and he made me aware that there was a serious issue regarding my arrest. I gave my approval for him to file a motion to suppress (which has about a less than 1% chance of success). Well I'm almost in disbelief as I type this because while the DMV ruling still stands my court case was DISMISSED! You can't put a price on that. I *never* intend to drink and drive again. Ever. However, not having to deal with Jail, Probation, and another "criminal mark" on my record is priceless. "Greatest of all time. Nors had helped two other family members of mine with their cases before I required his services and won them all. My case was complicated and lengthy to say the least given the state the courts find themselves in due to the Pandemic, they are backed up beyond belief with cases since before COVID let alone all the new ones since then. Nors was honest from the start of what this might look like good or bad and really prepares you for what may happen. He was able to win my DMV case which made it so I didn't lose my DL even before we set foot inside a court house. He is an absolute master in his profession and is truly in his element to command the court room. When you have someone like that sitting by your side it puts you at ease at what is one of the most stress full situations a person may find themselves in. While the case had a refusal and other challenging aspects Nors was a steadfast expert who navigated a whole host of lengthy court delays and was able to get a rather impressive deal given the circumstances. "There are not enough words that I can say that explain my gratitude for Nors. One of the best human beings and probably one of the best lawyers you can hire for DUI cases. In 2019, I had the opportunity to hire him to help me out with my first DUI. Throughout the pandemic in 2020, he was there every step of the way and keeping me informed on how my case was going. "I was visiting San Francisco for a work conference. Had the last minute idea of going to a wine festival and driving back to San Fran where my Air BnB during the weekend. I got pulled over for using my cell phone, and taken to jail with a .148. Napa was wanting 3 weeks jail time, which could result in job loss because I didn't have enough vaca days to cover that. Nors fought for me and got the minimum, but I did do over 100 hours of AA and alcohol abuse counseling. That helped. "Let me start by saying that I can't thank Nors enough to help me with my DUI Case. My case was one of the most complicated cases Nors must have dealt with considering the immigration consequences involved. Having yourself in a DUI situation can be a terrible feeling specially during these unpredictable COVID-19 times where everything is being handled virtually. Mails get lost, court dates get pushed and the person who's most affected by this is people like me and you. My DUI case went on for about 1.5 years. It was an extreme case due to my immigration being involved. It was a DUI Refusal Case which with a high BAC. Cases such as these are treated with strict policies and laws especially in San Mateo county. "3 words to describe Nors' efforts with my case: persistent, knowledgeable, professional. My DUI case from April 2011 resurfaced after about 6 years after I was the victim of a hit and run accident in SF in January 2017. Unbeknownst to me, there had been a warrant out for my arrest, and I then had to deal with the case after I was informed in 2011 that the case would be discharged after one year. The clerk had told me that I would be contacted if/when the case would be put on calendar, which never happened. Apparently this had become a regular occurrence in the SF court process years ago, as they were backlogged with too many cases, yet failed to notify the defendant/party involved of the warrant, nor even contact them. Upon my first phone consultation with Nors, he made me aware of this and that he had already dealt with similar DUI cases that had been dropped by the DA office, some with far worse charges. The process took awhile, but thanks to Nors' persistence and knowledge of the SF DA office and superior experience with DUI cases in general, he was completely focused on having the charges dropped completely. Nors was completely honest and upfront about the possibilities had the DA attempted to prosecute the case, but never promised me a he result, which other DUI attorneys had done. If you are reading these reviews and exercising your due diligence, I know what you are going through. I was more stressed than most people who had a DUI charge, and became both obsessive and compulsive about finding the "perfect" DUI attorney for my case. "The DUI case was delay by the DA office a lot of times, it took around 15-18 month before we head to the jury trial. Nors was helping me to fight the case, working hard on finding the witness where in the police reports which took a long time from the DA to us. i was worry at the start because it is the first time, but Nors told me it will be alright. and turn out to be alright. We finally set a jury trial day after a long wait and in the trial Nors perform incredibly, with all the evident he gathers we win the case with ease. This is the best  DUI attorney you can get , he is smart, knowledge, hard working, and just simply great. i m especially thankful that he help me fight this case and keep me in faith that i will win. with all his hard work, we finally win the case. he is great and the best. "To say that DUI's are stressful is an understatement: this was my first time in trouble with the law, and I was at a loss about what to do. Of course, when I started looking for a  DUI lawyer, I saw that Nors had so many positive reviews compared to other  DUI lawyers', that at one point, I was paranoid that his reviews might be doctored!  I'm happy to say that my experience with Nors was exactly on point with many of the other reviewers': perfect for the situation at hand. He took his time to explain the pros and cons of each decision to someone who kept badgering him with questions, and he was non-judgmental, reassuring, and basically an all-around trustworthy and hardworking DUI lawyer you'd want on your side. Like some of Nors' other clients, I have been driving for nearly a decade and never even had a speeding ticket, so when I called him for a consultation, I was an emotional wreck. Of the six  DUI lawyers with whom I consulted, Nors impressed me the most with his humor, demeanor, determined attitude, and specific knowledge. He guided me through the entire process with compassion and never pressured or rushed me into making a decision. While there were times when Nors or his assistant Liz took a bit longer to respond to my incessant questions, I still felt comfortable knowing that my  DUI lawyer was capable and was doing his best for all of his clients. With the number of cases he's seen, he knows all the tactics and his experience shows. Honestly, Nors is an awesome DUI defense lawyer. "Nors definitely provided a sigh of relief. From the moment we gave him my DUI case, I was able to let go of the constant stress that was impacting my day to day life, and focus on the present and future. Nors was able to get all my DUI charges dismissed resulting in a greatly reduced sentence. Nors was able to enter a plea of no contest to a reduced charge of reckless driving involving alcohol, "wet and reckless". I was placed to 3 years of INFORMAL probation, three months of DUI school and $1,073 fine, which is an immense difference in the sentencing I was facing with a DUI charge. He even kept my license from becoming suspended. I received this charge while on vacation, and would not have been able to handle the case without Nors. I am happy I found him. My probationary period is now ending and I intend to hire Nors again to process my expungement. He and his staff are a pleasure to work with and it is my pleasure to do business with them again."

"Nors is a true DUI trial lawyer. He actually takes many DUI cases to jury trials unlike other DUI lawyers who would rather pressure their own clients to accept DA's offers to close the cases before going to trials. Before you retain a DUI lawyer, ask him/her if he recently defended a client on a DUI jury trial. I bet you most will say no. Why is this so important? Because reputation is everything. When the DA office reviews your case, they know which DUI lawyer is defending you. DA office also knows which DUI lawyer is a pushover (their pet) who will accept any offers they throw at the defendant, and which DUI lawyer is to be respected. So, it is your best interest to retain a reputable DUI lawyer who actually has a track record of winning DUI jury trials. The last thing DA wants to do is waste so much resources and time on a jury trial and lose. Hiring a real deal like Nors will force DA office to think over your case real carefully. I didn't know anything I wrote above last year when I was charged with DUI, and paid huge tuition of retaining two DUI lawyers. My case had a good chance of getting dropped since my BAC was 0.08 on the dot, and 3 out of 4 tests were actually below 0.08. I hold a professional license and it is hell to renew the license with any dent in my criminal record. I wanted my DUI charge to be dropped. I initially retained one of the most reviewed and highest rated DUI lawyers. Unfortunately, I found out first hand that he is a high volume DUI "settlement" lawyer, and not a trial lawyer. When I rejected DA's offer of wet reckless, this DUI lawyer demanded $20,000 up front to take the case to a jury trial, which is a ridiculous rate even for a highly successful  DUI lawyer. It was basically his way of saying 'Accept the DA's offer or find another  DUI lawyer'. I got the hint and searched for another DUI lawyer who actually takes cases to jury trials. I spoke to Nors on the phone several times before retaining him to substitute in for the other DUI lawyer. Right away Nors requested breathalyzer accuracy check records, which wasn't done by the previous DUI lawyer. A day before my trial date, Nors and I met at the location where I got pulled over, and went over everything in the police report in detail. On the day of the trial, Nors was ready for the battle, and the DA knew they were pushing their luck. The DA office dropped the DUI charge completely. No fine, no class, no record, and not even a traffic violation ticket."

"I first spoke with Nors over the phone to see if he could help me with a DUI case I was charged with back in September. I was confused and frightened and prior to this I had never had any trouble with the law. In fact, I had never been pulled over or given a ticket and I have been driving for 9 years. Needless to say I was a nervous wreck when this happened. Nors understood completely and spoke with myself and my parents over the phone and let us know what he could do and his cost. He was completely open and spoke with us for quite some time to assuage my fears and answer any questions we had. It was an easy choice to hire him as my  DUI attorney. He was prompt and sent out the paperwork, went to my arraignment for me, and met with me in person prior to my court date in December. "DUIs aren't a joke and a 2nd one is even worse, but when you pin having a few other dreadful details on there as well, things just get more drastic and everything looks grim. I had called a few DUI lawyers after my incident but they all sounded the same during the consultation. Each stated very vague details and answering questions in a broad manner, and some seemed a bit reluctant on taking up my case. However, when I finally came across Nors Davidson, he was spectacular and very understanding. He had far beyond answered all my questions thoroughly, and gave in extra details on how the whole court procedure would proceed, and put in step by step the course of action that would need to be done. Furthermore, he was the only DUI lawyer out of many that I called that actually wanted my case. He had stated with great emphasis how because he had spent a amount of his time in San Francisco and having attended school here, that it was a case he wanted to take on because he is very familiar with the people and court in San Francisco. I knew then and there that Nors was who I wanted to represent me in this case. When the time came for a conference meeting with him, he was very friendly and welcoming. Initially, I had felt restless and terrified about the whole ordeal, and that it was the end of the world, but Nors had reassured me 100% that people make mistakes and that it isn't the end of the world because there was a fighting chance. Whenever I had any questions arise, he would answer with great knowledge and when something was unclear because law vocabulary and the whole procedure may be a bit confusing, he had broken it down into more simple terms. Throughout the whole court hearings/procedures, Nors was very attentive and showed up to the court accordingly and on time. He kept me up to date on whenever I had to show up in court or when it was optional to do so. He's very reputable as a lot of the lawyers were striking up a conversation with him and was familiar with the court officials. Nors represented me at every step in the way and put up the best fight that he possibly could. Even in the event of him getting into an accident himself during his personal time, he still took the liberty to show up to represent me in court when he could've rescheduled, and on his off days he would return phone calls. Most  DUI lawyers would take on whatever bargain the DA first proposed, as they want to get the whole procedure over with already, but Nors went beyond and encouraged me to fight for a better deal and that was what I wanted. He believed that he would be able to bargain a much better deal after the first hearing and put forth with confidence that it would be a satisfying outcome. I wanted to minimize as much of the problem as I could but given my circumstances, the evidence was clearly against me and so were the odds but I was intent on putting up a fight. After much negotiations and going back and forth, Nors got the what he believed to be the best deal which to him was outstanding and a very lucky and amazing bargain. The outcome wasn't having a DUI charge dropped, which would've been a godsend bargain, but rather I had 3 other misdemeanor charges dropped, no jail time, the least time required for a probation class, as well as SWAP reduced from 30 days to 0 days which was outstanding and a very pleasing outcome, and I'm still very thankful for such an amazing deal! You won't go wrong with having Nors Davidson represent you, and I highly recommend him to anyone who feels like things are grim. Throughout the process, he gave the persona that he wasn't just your lawyer, but your friend as well. Outstanding professional representation in court, and very amiable during outside meetings and phone calls. If you ever run into troubles, give this man a call, because I definitely will be if trouble ever knocked on my doorstep again!"

"A DUI isn't cheap and neither are the DUI lawyers, but it's good to know that when you hire Nors to represent you in your case, you are hiring a DUI lawyer who will get you the best possible outcome. It was my 2nd DUI and the evidence was strong. I could only dream that I would end the case scot-free. Outside of having the case dismissed, I knew what the maximum, typical and best case scenarios were for me. And after negotiations with the DA, Nors was able to get me the best possible sentence. "I had the misfortune of getting arrested for a second DUI 6 years after my first. I had retained a very well-respected DUI attorney on my first case so I knew, more or less, what to expect. Upon doing a little research I came across Nors and spoke with him about my case. Based on the results of my first conviction, I didn't have high hopes for this one (especially with a .12 BAC) but Nors made me feel like he could really make a difference -- boy was he right! Throughout the entire process, I was thoroughly impressed with how down to earth, likeable, funny, knowledgeable and most importantly, how effective he is at his job. A 2nd offense is a daunting experience and by no means was it fun but having Nors by my side relieved a lot of the stress because I knew I was in good hands even before there was an outcome. "I was pulled over and accused for a DUI in fall of 2014 and never having done this before, a lawyer friend advised me to contact Nors. I contacted one other DUI lawyer prior to Nors and then gave him a call afterwards. Both DUI lawyers told me that because my case was in Pleasanton, it's much harder because the area is more conservative. First thing he told me was to calm down and assess the situation together. At the time I did a few blows of the breath analyzer and blood work. In this situation, it was hard to say what to do because we had no results or numbers to go by. I took bart one afternoon with my brother to meet Nors and he was very welcoming. We spoke about the case and the strategy that he would do, but at this point since we didn't know anything from the case, and would have to wait it out. He's very personable and a friend recommended him, so I decided to go with Nors. With my case it was unique, because from august through December we didn't have a court date, while DMV kept wanting to do a hearing. Nors developed strategies for both sides. He explained that since the court had not accused me of anything yet formally and we didn't know the blood work, we couldn't test it and use it as evidence in the dmv hearing. Only thing we could do at the moment was wait it out. Then in January I finally had a court date, by this time we knew some of the evidence. Prior to court date, we spoke about the worse case scenarios and the best case scenarios. One of the base case scenarios is if we could reduce the sentence to wet reckless, only a 12 hr (6 week dui class session), with just a fine, and stamp the whole thing with a helmandollar plea that would be amazing. With the Helmandollar plea, if we get dismissed with dui charges, then because DMV is waiting on dui charge and it isn't, they have to give me back my driving license. But I was forewarned, this scenario is very hard to come by, especially in pleasanton courts, and especially adding the Helmandollar plea. To get the Helmandollar Plea, both the prosecutor and judge have to agree too. But on that day, Nors being a connected guy, knew one of the prosecutors, and the deal was made. From Nors himself, he was happy with how the case turned out, and it was a great result. Happy I found Nors. From the beginning I said I needed to get the best result, because after this I had to deal with my professional board, so the lowest and least thing possible will definitely help me there. And as a result here, the board of my profession is looking good too. Thanks Nors and team!"

"I was arrested for a DUI with a BAC of .14% without accident or injury. This was my first DUI. The tricky part is that I was moving out of the state a few weeks after I was pulled over, which really complicated everything I was going to have to do in order to get my license back. I contacted Nors, who was so personable and understanding. I could tell right away that he genuinely wanted to help me, and was not solely interested in making money off of my desperation for help. "Nors managed to help me have my 1st time DUI charge dropped to reckless driving with only 6 weeks of traffic school. Then for the DMV side I got to keep my license without any further penalties. Overall I would say it is a very good result. My bac was .08 on the dot. Blood retest result came back after I entered the plea .07. But still fighting in court would have been tough due to other details. So the plea for wet reckless was I think a good deal though deeply wished it would have been a dismissal because of the .07. For the DMV part I did pay extra to have a toxicologist testify in the DMV hearing. And, it was completely worth it. An extraordinary result I got to keep my license without any penalties except the 2 points on my record for wet reckless. Overall Nors helped me out a whole lot. "Nors has dealt with, and continues to deal with, a few unfortunate matters in my life. He is by far the most attentive DUI lawyer I've dealt with and makes sure to keep me apprised of all the intricacies of my DUI case(s).Recently, on an expungement, Nors had to argue with a DA and a Judge for the better part of 10 minutes, which is a very long time in court time. "Nors Davidson will be the best friend you've ever had if you're facing a DUI charge. Mine was a tough DUI case: I left the scene of a accident and was arrested with an astounding .31 BAC. Things did not look good. Fast forward to pre-trial conference. Nors had cut a crazy deal with the DA before I even arrived at court: 3 years probation, standard fine, standard 30 day license suspension, and 9 months of DUI school.....no more. He was instrumental in rescuing me from dire consequences. I was looking at a substantial jail sentence after my third DUI arrest. My last third DUI offense yielded me a 9 month jail sentence in the same court system. This one was technically another third because of the ten year window. "I've got nothing more to say, Nors was really professional taking care my DUI case. After several calls i decided to hire Nors instead of the other DUI lawyers. "Nors Davidson got me a great deal in an Orange County Court. I was facing a serious felony charge that had a maximum sentence of five years in prison! Mr. Davidson took the time to fly down with me on my court date, as I live in San Francisco, CA. Not only did Nors get me out of bed the morning for court and fly down to Orange County, but he worked with me to get the help that I really needed. When we got to court, he was able to get the district attorney to offer me a low sentence of 120 days, which under the circumstances, I would have accepted. Going into my arraignment, the court room was overwhelming, I had no idea what was going on and I didn't trust the public defenders to do a good job. I requested more time with the judge to find a DUI lawyer and I proceeded to hire Nors. "I am a commercial license driver and ended up having too much to drink and ended up being arrested for DUI. During the proceedings, I was scared of losing my job as well as my family due to a bad judgement call. I contacted Mr. Davidson and he was very friendly. "In October of 2010 I received a "first offender DUI" charge in San Mateo County. At the time I was working towards a degree that would almost ensure a full disclosure of all criminal history to both employers and licensure, I felt like I was absolutely screwed. I met once with a different DUI lawyer, and he came across as very sleazy and I was somewhat turned off from seeking legal counsel for my DUI defense. In the end, I plead "no contest" to the B count of driving under the influence and was sentenced to 3 years court supervised probation, DUI classes and SWAP.As I completed my requirements as set by the court, I realized that I would be in deep trouble when the time came to apply for jobs, as I'd have to disclose my DUI to possible employers, essentially barring me from the job in my field. One day, in my DUI class, the moderator recommended waiting 1 1/2 years and then filing for an expungement, so I felt that this would be my saving grace. I spent the next several months researching DUI lawyers, as I wanted to ensure that I had the best possible DUI defense in my attempts to terminate probation early and gain an expungement. After perusing several DUI lawyers and ultimately choosing against them based on their approach and their overall eagerness to have me as a client no matter the case (almost a bit too eager) I found Nors. I read his reviews and felt that he was worth giving a shot. When I first spoke with Nors about my DUI case, what I first found to be very helpful was he was honest about not only my situation, but my chances. Other DUI lawyers tried to give me a whole song and dance about how they "guaranteed success no matter what" by using some convoluted strategy of playing the system, which does not sit well with me. Nors outright said that I had "possibly a 50/50 chance" and he weighed the pros and cons with me. For someone to do this over the phone with me without requiring a credit card before any conversations took place was extremely kind. Ultimately, I told Nors that I'd like to hire him to advocate on my behalf. Nors bent over backwards for me throughout our time together, coming in on days off for meetings (which was extremely helpful as I was a full time student/intern), helping me go through the mound of paperwork that I have accrued throughout this process and determining the best pieces of evidence for proof of rehabilitation possible. When my day in court came I was quite nervous and Nors explained to me the procedure of how everything was going to occur, and he was extremely comforting the entire time. "The past year has been extremely stressful for me and my family because I was in a position of potentially losing my license for a year due to a DUI refusal. Can you imagine what it might have felt like if you lost your drivers license for a year and your job depended it? The fact is that very few win DMV refusal cases because the DMV seems to automatically suspend drivers license for 1year on refusals. We just settled my DUI case with a very optimal result (second DUI reduced to wet reckless) but I was happy with Nors' work on my behalf from the beginning. "Choosing a DUI attorney can be a daunting task. If you're reading this, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I chose Nors over another highly rated DUI attorney in the area based partially on the fact that he took my initial call while he was still on vacation. Upon that first call, he gave me his cell number in case I had any additional questions. There comes a certain peace of mind with this kind of availability, so I chose Nors. Nors proved to be extremely knowledgeable, professional and available throughout my interactions with him. Better yet, and unlike some DUI attorneys out there, he actually wants to meet face-to-face to get to know you as a client better, and to strategize your case. Most other potential DUI attorney candidates wanted to limit the interactions to phone, email and perhaps meeting an hour early before the pre-trial conference. This was my 2nd DUI conviction (wet reckless 9+ yrs ago still counts!), and had an enhancement charge of being at or more than twice the legal BAC limit. "The details. I am a media figure in the Bay Area. I got a DUI blew .12 but blood was .15 DUI with Enhancements. I interviewed three DUI firms. I turned down an Alameda firm (DUI was in Alameda) as I felt I was going to be just another case and I turned down a DUI factory attorney shop as I would of been given to an associate. Nors came to my office and met with me which was convenient even though his office is pretty easy and convenient as well. He read over my case and decided to have me work with his DUI investigator Alan Mcann. The DUI investigator found that the arresting officer had pulled me over, asked 17 questions, administered field sobriety tests and arrested me all in 4 minutes. My case had something to work with!!! "Three words to describe Nors would be experienced, honest and personable. Every step of the way Nors made me for comfortable about being in this bad situation, regrettably for a second time DUI. He assured me that although the matter was a serious one, it certainly was not the end of the world for my job or even my license.
